A Crack in the Pavement is a two-part video series that shows children, teachers and parents how, working together to green their school grounds, they can make positive changes in their communities.
 
Pt 1 - Growing Dreams – an inspirational overview of school ground greening.
Pt 2 – Digging In – Jesse Ketchum School greens their schoolyard.
 
"A tremendous resource for school communities interested in transforming their schoolyards into havens for hands-on learning. The voices and stories of the students, teachers and communities' members involved in these projects will inspire all to see the opportunities that await just outside the classroom door."

LEED GREEN ASSOCIATE EXAM PREP DENTON

Prepaing to take the LEED Green Associate exam?  USGBC North Texas offers one full day of interactive presentations on the material covered by the LEED Green Associates exam:  Green Building principals, LEED core concepts and the LEED rating systems.  Attendees will then have the opportunity to join other attendees in forming study groups.

GREEN + SCHOOLS = IMPROVED PERFORMANCE

Join a lively panel discussion with Keller ISD and the rest of the project team to discover why
Keller’s goal of “Educational Excellence” led to going green for health reasons, specifically the building of LEED Silver Registered Timberview Intermediate/Middle School. Attendees will then tour the project for a LEED scoring exercise, followed by Q&A. Appetizers provided.
