MEMORANDUM OF INTENT WITH DALLAS BOMA

Real Estate

TrinityRiver_audubon

The U.S. Green Building Council, North Texas Chapter and Dallas Building Owners and Managers Association have executed a Memorandum of Intent agreeing to work cooperatively to promote commercial, corporate & public sector real estate that is healthy, environmentally responsible, comfortable, productive, profitable, and sustainable by more efficiently using limited resources and by sharing information. The two organizations will work together to cross-promote sustainable initiatives among both their member bases, will cooperate on the development and promotion of educational materials, and will cooperate on green building research for possible joint publication. The Memorandum of Intent is modeled on the document that both organizations’ national groups signed in recent years.

As examples of how this new cooperative venture might work, the groups are looking for ways to team up on upcoming events such as the Sustainable Products Showcase in July, the Sustainable Operations Summit in September, and the Trade Show in October. They are also discussing how to expand Dallas BOMA’s Shades of Green publication.
